“Welcome, young ones…” An old woman was kneeling in the middle of an old and dusty room. Only Lillianne, Caro and I were in the room. Harlow was too tired to go further and was currently sleeping in the room next door… But my burning curiosity kept me awake: I needed to know this before I turned in. Lillianne was worried about me, so she joined us. And without Caro, we wouldn’t even be in this room talking with this lady of age!
When we all got seated, the woman snapped her fingers once. A middle-aged man, dressed in a black butler outfit suddenly appeared from behind a set of sliding doors and poured all of us

Rise of the void: Chapter 1- Loathed
“Get out of here, scum. And don’t let us see you here ever again!” A man groaned loudly, rolling with his black eyes while a prison guard unlocked his steel cuffs. His colleague looked over a mountain of paperwork, all signed by hand by the man. He still remembered that day, his wrist hurt like hell!
“Awww… Are you missing me already?” The man joked while he felt the cuffs loosening. When the steel dropped to the floor, several of the prison guards stationed at all exits of the small concrete room reached for their guns. The prisoner sighed, rolling with his eyes before looking at the guard holding some
“Hey, Mister… Are we there yet?” I sighed. This was the tenth time those kids asked me that. I grunted, wobbling unsteadily in the wooden cart that Rechsal’s Mayor loaned to us. It seemed my body didn’t do well with sitting still in a cart… I was feeling nauseous and could feel my stomach somersaulting back and forth. I was feeling miserable, and the continuous ‘are we there yet?’ from the kids wasn’t helping in the slightest… I didn’t even get a good sleep last night as Lillianne wanted to kiss some more during half of the night. I don’t know about her, but I needed my s

Sange: Chapter 4- Revelations
I unlocked the first door, pushing it open. The heavy wooden door slowly swayed open with a loud creaking noise. Grabbing a torch we found in the cave where I eliminated the bandits, the four of us slowly inched forwards into the smaller cave. This one was equipped with several smaller benches, filled with all kinds of old papers. Some were covered in dried blood and looking over a decade old, others were more recent and neatly folded into a leather binder… There were countless scribbles and drawings of mutants on every sheet of paper. Not that I could read them! But Harlow seemed to have a general idea what they were about.

“So… Let me get this straight: you are one of His Majesty’s aides and came out here to investigate the recent disappearances? Hmmm…” Lillianne leaned backwards against the bed as she sipped from a freshly made mug of warm milk with honey while looking at the cloaked woman. Now that she had taken her hood off, I saw that she had bright red hair, which was extremely unusual. Even more unusual than Harlow’s dark green hair… I sighed and fell down on the floor, back against the wall while staring at the woman whom I encountered in the middle of the night.
“Yeah… That sounds… extremely i
“Hnn…nnn…rrrghhh…The wolves!” I jumped when the formerly unconscious woman suddenly bolted upwards. I shrieked and fell backwards from the tree trunk I was sitting on, causing Lillianne to giggle. Rolling with my eyes, I looked at the green-haired girl. She was about half a head smaller than me and wore thick leather knee high boots with a flat sole.
“Those things are gone… You are safe now…” I slowly said while pushing myself back unto the trunk. The girl turned around to where she heard the voice, shrieking when she saw my face. That made Lillianne laugh, of course.
“Hahaha! Did

The next morning, we began our day with looking through the belongings of the dead. Or at least, I did. Lillianne still seemed apprehensive to come anywhere near dead things… I sighed. Other than a couple of meagre silver coins, I didn’t find anything useful! Unless… My gaze fell unto the open box that contained the syringe that transformed the bandit leader into that terrifying monster. I looked through it and found a small note. I frowned at it and turned towards the blonde woman, who was watching me from afar.
“Can you read this?” I showed her the paper, which she grasped roughly.
